The climate in Fortim
The region of Fortim / Pontal de Maceió, located in the northeastern Brazil, enjoys one of the best climate in the world: sun and pleasant heat 12 months a year! Moreover, the air in the region is considered by experts to be one of the cleanest in the world.
It doesn't often rain in Fortim. However, there is a 'rainy season' going from January to April. During this period, the region receives some rain showers, especially at night but whole cloudy days are rare on the coast.
Temperatures vary little throughout the year: during the day between 28°and 35°C (82°and 95°F) at night between 22°and 28°C (72°and 82°F). The heat is never oppressive because the coast is continually ventilated by the onshore winds.

The Restaurant
 The tables of the restaurant at the Vila Selvagem are set on a large covered terrace that provides a spectacular view on the beach of Pontal de Maceió and the ocean.
The menu, worked out with the freshest ingredients, is inspired by the Brazilian and French cuisine. Fish and seafood just out of the net of the local fishermen have, of course, the top billing. To make your mouth water, we'll just mention the tasty "Shrimp Beira Mar", The "Fish fillet Virgin Style" or the "Lobster in its own juice".
 Meat lovers will not be left out. The chef suggests a tender "Fillet of Beef Marchand de Vin" or the fillet of beef with a house special "Black Pepper Sauce".
The wine list at restaurant Vila Selvagem proposes a selection of excellent wines from South America and a selection of French vintages.

The village of Pontal de Maceio
 Pontal de Maceió (municipality Fortim, Ceará state, Northeast of Brazil) is a simple fishing village with a beautiful beach that has retained its authenticity and charm away from the tourist and real estate developments.
The beach life is punctuated by the comings and goings of the jangadas (local fishing boats) returning from the open sea laden of fishes and lobsters.
Have a walk on the beach:
on one side of the beach, you will discover the natural nearby caves. On the other side, a nice stroll on the white sands will take you to the small Needle Beach Needles (Praia das Agulhas).
At Pontal de Maceió, visitors are very well received by communicative and smiling residents . Around the pretty village square, you'll find some local bars to share a few moments of the community's peaceful life. Head for the ocean: beach huts-restaurants are serving drinks and tasty seafood dishes.
Weekends are more lively. On Saturday nights at Deth Club located in the center of the village, you can dance all night at the sound of forró, dance and reggae music. Have fun!
